Camera monitoring system helps detect 600 law violations

PSNews-During the Lunar New Year in 2017, the police force of Da Nang always kept its camera systems active around the clock to monitor the local traffic, and successfully recorded 600 cases of violation.

The system management teams then processed the violations, identified the violators and sent fine tickets to them.

According to the city’s traffic police, 2 accidents happened from January 26 to February 1, killing 1 and injuring another. During the peak days of the Tet, the municipal traffic police actively patrolled and effectively handled 267 traffic violation cases,  fining 166 cases and seizing 21 cars.

100% policemen of the city’s traffic force have been deployed during the Tet to ensure traffic safety and order, according to Senior Colonel Le Ngoc, Head of the Da Nang Municipal Traffic Police.

In addition to being resolute in handling traffic violations, the municipal traffic force also created favorable conditions for locals and tourists to enjoy the festival.

Particularly, the city’s traffic police regularly updated people traffic information and guidance on the city’s traffic police’s Facebook, contributing to facilitating transportation in the city and promoting public awareness of the traffic regulations.
