Can Tho Police actively join blood donation program "Red of Tay Do"

PSNews - The “Red of Tay Do" blood donation program organized on July 4th at the Can Tho Sports House has completed its mission as one of the "Red Journey 2017" campaign's destinations. 

The "Red Journey 2017" is held in 28 provinces and cities across Vietnam and expected to receive 45,000 units of blood. Particularly in Can Tho city, more than 800 units of blood have been donated by local police forces, students and citizens. 

More than 200 officers and soldiers of the Can Tho Municipal Police Department as well as the district police divisions ready to donate blood.

From early morning, more than 200 officers and soldiers of the Can Tho Municipal Police Department as well as the district police divisions of Ninh Kieu, Cai Rang and Binh Thuy arrived at the sports house, ready to donate blood. They also helped the organizers to prepare for the event.

Captain Ninh Hoai Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho Municipal Police Youth Union chapter said: "In recent years, the Youth Union chapter of the Can Tho Municipal Police has always participated in the voluntary blood donation program. Through this program, officers and soldiers of Can Tho’s police force could showed their empathy with  unlucky people by donating blood for treatment of patients, contributing to consolidating the ties between the police force and the people and beautifying the image of the police officer "Self-sacrifice for the country and dedication to the people."
