Can Tho Police roll out working plans in H2 of 2020

PSNews - The Can Tho Municipal Police Department on July 13 held a meeting to review its task performance in H1 of 2020, and roll out its working plans in H2 of 2020.  Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended the meeting and delivered keynote remarks.

Reports at the meeting read that in the first 6 months of 2020, the Can Tho Municipal Police Department coordinated and worked closely with the local military forces and functional agencies to maintain political security and social order while well preventing the COVID-19 pandemic in the locality.

 The local police force effectively implemented the working plans to ensure absolute security and safety for the Party Congress at all levels in the locality.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung asked the Can Tho Municipal Police Department to continue directing all of its subordinate units to launch intensive campaigns against all kinds of crimes, especially drug-related crimes, organized crimes, black credit, and social evil hotspots.

The deputy minister suggested that Can Tho police force should also focus on strengthening the grassroots–level police force; intensifying the management of residence, weapons, explosive materials, and combat tools; improving the effectiveness of the “Allpeople protect homeland security” movement. He also suggested applying the social networks in the prevention of crime.

* On the same day, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung had a meeting with the Southwest Mobile Police Regiment (based in Can Tho city).
