Can Tho Police strive to ensure traffic safety in locality
To curb the complicated situation of traffic safety with a large number of traffic accidents in locality, the Can Tho Traffic Police have mobilized its force to carry out traffic safety campaigns, and at the same time promoted information dissemination in various forms and contents while increasing patrols, checks and seriously punishing traffic violations.

Senior Colonel Huynh Dau Tranh, Deputy Director of the Can Tho Municipal Police said, the Director Board instructed its special police, guard police and order police units to patrol from 10 pm to the next morning to prevent thefts and robberies and illegal motor races.
Beside, the local police force proactively advised the Municipal People's Committee and the City Traffic Safety Committee to direct relevant local departments , branches and socio-political organizations to strengthen the dissemination of traffic safety regulations and take serious actions against traffic violations.
The Can Tho Municipal Police also proposed related agencies and sectors to soon repair, upgrade and expand bridges and roads, reorganize the traffic system and complete the traffic light system under the national standards.
