Central Public Security Party Committee convenes regular meeting
Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member, Secretary of the CPSPC, Minister of the Public Security chaired the meeting.
After being briefed on the situation and results of national security protection work, social order and safety maintenance and force building, delegates at the meeting proposed orientations for the missions in the coming time.
At the meeting, the Standing Board of the CPSPC also discussed and agreed on the implementation of the resolutions adopted at the 6th plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee. Accordingly, the public security forces are asked to promote its function of advising the Party and the State on security and order; be active in preventing and defeating all conspiracies and activities of hostile and reactionary forces; respond effectively to non-traditional security threats; control the rates of crimes and legal offenses.
The public security forces were also assigned to focus on ensuring social security, maintaining political security in all situations; building a safe and disciplined society, contributing to firmly protecting independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, safeguarding the Party, the Fatherland, the people and the socialist regime; and protecting the cause of renovation, industrialization and modernization in order to create an environment of peace, stability, security, orderliness to effectively serve socio-economic development and foreign affairs of the country.
