Coordination regulation on exchanging information about criminal subjects announced

The Department of Professional Records and Archives Management underthe Ministry of Public Security and the Criminal Investigation Department under the Ministry of Defense on October 25 signed a Regulation on cooperation in exchanging, distributing, managing and exploiting information about criminal subjects.

The conference, which also held to review the implementation of Regulation No. 02/2001/QDLC-DT-HSCS dated December 19, 2001, saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Le Chiem, Deputy Minister of National Defense and Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

At the Conference, Major General To Van Hue, Director of the Department of Professional Records and Archives Management under the Ministry of Public Security and Major General Pham Van Thi, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department under the Ministry of National Defense signed a coordination regulation on exchanging, distributing, managing and exploiting information about criminal subjects. 

The signing of such a deal will surely facilitate the two sides’ crime prevention and control. Deputy Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang and Deputy Minister of National Defense Le Chiem approved the regulation at the meeting.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang suggested that the two signatories should concretize the newly-signed deal, based on their functions and missions, so that coordination activities  will be conducted by the two sides in a regular and effective manner.

Deputy Minister Le Chiem highly appreciated the good outcomes of regular coordination activities between the Department of Professional Records and Archives Management and the Military Criminal Investigation Department. 

The Deputy Minister of National Defense suggested the Department of Professional Records and Archives Management continue supporting the Military Criminal Investigation Department to complete its records and archives work, provide more professional training for military officers in charge of records and archives, and promote coordination with the Military Criminal Investigation Department.
