Da Nang Fire Police ensures fire safety for APEC Summit Week 2017

Deputy Director of the Da Nang Municipal Fire Police, Senior Colonel Le Ngoc Hai said, the fire prevention and rescue work to ensure absolute safety for the APEC Week is the top priority of the unit.

The Da Nang Municipal Fire Police Force has actively grasped the situation, enhanced the inspection of fire safety to ensure security and fire safety, contributing to protect the APEC Summit Week 2017.

Since the beginning of the year, the unit has drawn up several action plans and actively survey the travel routes of delegations and guests from Da Nang International Airport to event venues and hotels, so as to select appropriate plans for possible firefighting and rescue operations.

 The unit has also inspected more than 1,000 establishments at high risks of fire and explosion. The hotels and resorts accommodating delegations to the APEC Summit Week 2017 have been intensively inspected by the local fire force in collaboration with other relevant forces while the travel routes for delegations and water sources for firefighting have been carefully examined.

Through inspections, the unit has guided and requested the owners of the establishments to fix shortcomings in order to strictly implement fire safety regulations during the important week.

Besides, the Da Nang Municipal Fire Police organized and carried out several drills on fire fighting and rescue as well as improving skills of firefighting and rescue for subordinate fire units so as to effectively serve the APEC Summit Week.
