PSNews – The 7th Public Security Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term continued its discussion session, on the afternoon of October 12.

As reported, the 7th Public Security Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term solemnly opened in Hanoi on the morning of October 12 and run until October 13.

General To Lam casts his vote.

In his remarks at the Congress’s opening session, General To Lam Politburo member, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security, emphasized that the 7th Public Security Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term is a specially important political event of the Public Security Party organization and the People’s Public Security Forces.

He urged the delegates to uphold their sense of responsibility, promote democracy and actively contribute practical ideas to the Congress’s draft documents.

"The success of the 7th Public Security Party Congress will serve as a momentum for the Public Security Forces to successfully fulfill their main tasks of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety in the time to come. It will also contribute positively to the upcoming 13th National Party Congress", General To Lam emphasized.

On the afternoon of October 12, delegates discussed and commented on draft documents under the chair of Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Party Central Committee’s member, Permanent member of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security.

Later in the afternoon, the delegates casted their votes to elect a delegation of the Public Security Party Organization to the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.
