Department of Party and Political Work rolls out working plan for 2020

The Department of Party and Political Work under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on January 8 held a conference to review its task performance in 2019 and roll out its working plan for 2020.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a keynote speech at the event. Major General Dao Gia Bao, Director of the Department of Party and Political Work chaired the conference.

In 2019, the department well performed Party and political work in the People's Public Security Forces (PPSF) in line with the new apparatus of the MPS and thoroughly implemented the Party directives and resolutions, especially the 12th Central Party Committee’s Resolution No. 4 and the Politburo’s Resolution No. 35.

The department also promoted emulation movements in couple with commendation work, through which numerous good examples, new models and creative methods in emulation movements were spread across the PPSF. Public security officers and soldiers checked public security officers and soldiers’ observance of regulations as well as their attitude  and styles at work.

Various individuals and teams honored at the event. 

The department strengthened physical training and sports among the PPSF with many outstanding achievements at various competitions. Additionally, the emulation movements “For Homeland Security” and “Public Security Forces following 6 teachings of Uncle Ho” and the campaign “Building the People's Public Security officers with strong willpower, humanity and devotedness to the people” were promoted in effective approaches.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh praised the achievements obtained by the Department of Party and Political Work in 2019.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh suggested the department to continue strictly following the Party Central Committee’s regulations on Party and political work among the PPSF in the coming time while identifying and fighting wrong or hostile political views and preventing signs of self-degradation in terms of political will, morals and lifestyles among public security officers and soldiers.

The Deputy Minister also urged the department to tighten discipline among public security officers and soldiers in carrying out their duties.
