Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam chairs meeting of Security and Health Subcommittee ahead of AIPA-41

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the ASEAN 2020 Subcommittee for Security and Health, on September 9, chaired a meeting to review the preparation for the 41st ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-41).

The 41st ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-41). will take place online from September 8 – 10.

According to reports at the meeting, the functional units have already deployed sufficient equipment and technical facilities to ensure network and information security forthe video-conference.

Meanwhile, the fire police force has checked fire prevention and fighting plans as well as firefighting facilities in the meeting rooms and the press center.

Regarding healthcare services for participating delegates, the Ministry of Health has implemented various measures, medicines and medical equipment to ensure COVID-19 prevention as well as food safety during the conference.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam highly appreciated the good preparation of the Sub-committee. He requested all Subcommittee members and staff to raise their awareness of the work of ensuring absolute security, safety and healthcare for the participating delegates.

Further, all officers and staff to serve the conference must strictly follow regulations on COVID-19 prevention.

The deputy minister also asked the communication services providers to guarantee the best quality of transmission, information safety and prepare plans to address possible problems. Meanwhile, the Subcommittee should note the comments at the meeting to adjust the plans and assign specific tasks to relevant units

The involved public security units should grasp the situation, promptly detect and handle any possible security situations while ensuring traffic order and safety during the AIPA-41 conference.

“All functional public security units should create the best conditions for press agencies to cover news at the AIPA-41,” Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam emphasized.
