Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam receives Vice Chairman of Japanese National Public Safety Commission

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security on October 2 received Mr. Takashi Oda, Vice Chairman of the Japanese Public Safety Commission.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam warmly welcomed Mr. Takashi Ode on his working visit to Vietnam and affirmed that the cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Japanese police force has been expanded with significant achievements in the past years.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Japanese National Police Agency successfully held the annual Deputy Minister-level Security Dialogue and the Vietnam - Japan Strategic Dialogue on security and national defense. 

The two sides also coordinated to ensure security and safety for high-ranking leaders of one country visiting the other and for the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam – Japan diplomatic relations.

Regarding orientations for future cooperation, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam suggested that the two sides continue to effectively and practically implement their cooperation agreements on law enforcement and crime prevention, while promoting the exchange of high-level delegations and experts in the fields of rescue, anti-terrorism and prevention of hi-tech crimes and transnational crimes.  

Vice Chairman of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission Takashi Oda thanked Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam for the warm welcome and appreciated the achievements in the bilateral cooperation over the past time. 

Mr. Takashi Oda stressed that the Japanese National Police Agency is always willing to cooperate with the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in the fields of mutual interests. 

Mr. Takashi Oda hoped that the relationship between the two countries in general and between the Japanese National Police Agency and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in particular will develop and achieve great results in the coming time for peace and interests of the two nations and the region as a whole.
