Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam receives incoming Indian Ambassador to Vietnam

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, received Ambassador of the Republic of India to Vietnam Pranay Verma on November 20.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam congratulated Mr. Pranay Verma for his new appointment as Indian Ambassador to Vietnam and hoped that the Ambassador will make contribution to strengthening relations and cooperation between the two countries in general, between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and its Indian partners in particular.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam suggested that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to promote the exchange of delegations at all levels while launching the second Vietnam - India Deputy Ministerial Security Dialogue which is expected to be held in India in 2021.

He also hoped that the two sides will effectively implement the signed agreements and existing cooperation mechanisms to boost cooperation in security and crime prevention as well as experience exchange in law enforcement while expanding cooperation in training capacity of law enforcement forces of each country.

For his part, Ambassador Pranay Verma thanked Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam for his warm reception and expressed his delight at the good development in the cooperation between Vietnam and India over the past years. 

Ambassador Pranay Verma affirmed, in his working position, he will serve as a bridge between the two sides, tighten the relationship between India and Vietnam as well as between the Indian law enforcement forces and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.
