Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh works with Can Tho Fire Police

At the working session with the Deputy Minister, Major General Tran Thi Ngoc Dep, Director of the Can Tho Municipal Fire Police said, in 2016, the Can Tho Fire Police force closely cooperated with local departments and branches, and people to effectively implement policies and working plans, contributing to ensure local political security, fire safety and to serve the socio-economic development.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh requested the Can Tho Fire Police force to overcome obstacles and fulfill their missions.

He asked the Can Tho Fire Police force to continue to follow the motto: ''Fire prevention is central but fire fighting is quick'', strengthen information dissemination among communities on fire prevention so as to raise public awareness of fire safety.

The force is supposed to actively advise the Can Tho Municipal Party, Municipal People’s Council and, Municipal People's Committee to well perform their State management function in fire fighting and prevention, actively give proposals to local authorities to invest in the Fire Police force so that they have sufficient capacity and facilities to fulfill their assigned mission.
