Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung inspects Binh Dien Prison

The meeting saw the presence of Lieutenant General Le Minh Hung, Director of the Police Department of Management of Prison, Compulsory Re-education Center and Reformatory, Senior Colonel Hau Van Ly, Vice Head of the MPS Office, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Director of the Provincial Police Department of Thua Thien Hue, and leaders and staff of the prison.
At the meeting, Senior Colonel Ho Sy Luu, Chief Warder of the BinhDien Prison, briefed the deputy minister and delegates on the prison staff’s task performance. At present, there are more than 2,000 prisoners, who are detained in 3 sections of the prison.
During the current storms and floods, the prison’s staff actively took measures to respond to the natural disasters so the prison was sound and safe.
Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung, on behalf of the MPS leadership, appreciated the efforts and achievements gained by the staff of the prison over the past time, especially in prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disaster response.

He hailed the good relations between the leadership of the prison and the local Party committees and authorities. The deputy minister requested the prison’s leaders, officers, and soldiers to ensure security and order at the prison and avoid being put in a disadvantage and surprise while further cementing close relationships with the local authorities.
Officers, soldiers and workers at prison were also requested to seriously carry out policies for inmates, and provide favorable conditions for them to serve their sentences and soon return to their families.
On this occasion, the Police Department of Management of Prison, Compulsory Re-education Center and Reformatory presented VND 350 million to the prison, offered VND 50 million to Binh Tien (Huong Tra township), and VND 200 million to the Provincial Committee of Fatherland Front of Thua Thien Hue in support of the local efforts to overcome consequences of the recent natural disasters.
