Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung works with Ba Ria - Vung Tau police and Xuyen Moc Detention Center

PSNews - Major General Le Quoc Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security on March 4th, worked with the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police Department and the Xuyen Moc Detention Center stationed in the province.

According to reports of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial police, in the first two months of 2021, the provincial police force strictly followed the directions of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee on organizing intensive campaigns to attack crimes and ensure traffic order and safety. 

They also effectively carried out plans to ensure security and order in the province during the 13th National Party Congress and the 2021 Lunar New Year festival.

Additionally, the police of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province taken drastic preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic. Particularly, they advised the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to establish three interdisciplinary pandemic checkpoints to control people and vehicles entering and exiting the province along three main national highways.

Regarding their key missions in the coming time, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested the police of Ba Ria - Vung Tau to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the resolutions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the directives of the Minister of Public Security on the missions of the Public Security Forces in 2021. 

The Deputy Minister also asked the local police to maintain political security and pay attention to fighting crimes of all kinds, especially drug-related crime, economic crime, and other criminal offenses.

They should strictly follow the directions of the Government, the National Steering Committee for Pandemic Prevention and Control, the Ministry of Public Security and the provincial authorities on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic; especially, they should take strong measures to prevent the spread of the disease in public security offices and detention centers.

* On the morning of the same day, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung and the delegation visited the Xuyen Moc Detention located in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

At the center, Deputy Minister Hung and other delegates attended the ceremony hosted by the detention center to launch the tree-planting festival in dedication to President Ho Chi Minh.
