At the meeting, Senior Colonel Pham Thanh Sy, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Police Department, reported that, over the past time, the local police forces have well maintained the political security situation in the province. Furthermore, the local police, in coordination with the military forces and other functional agencies, have safeguarded Vietnam’s waters.

They have also actively taken preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic in the province. Especially, the provincial police forces have implemented plans to protect Party congresses of local agencies and organizations in preparation for the 13th National Party Congress.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung spoke highly of the efforts and achievements of the Ca Mau provincial police over the past time.

The Deputy Minister requestedthe leadership of the Ca Mau provincial police to prepare for the organization of the Ca Mau Provincial PolicePartyCongressin 2020-2025term.

They should proactively develop and effectivelyimplement plans to ensure political security and social order in the province while paying due attention to eliminating “black credit” and drug-related criminal rings.

The deputy minister requested the local police to further promote movement "All people protect national security” and effective crime prevention models across the province.

At the meeting, the Chief Corrections Officer of the prison briefed Deputy Minister Hung and other delegates on the situation in the prison and the task performance of the correctional staff in the first half of 2020. The Deputy Minister recognized and praised the achievements of the prison correctional staff in the past years.

Regarding their missions in the coming time, the Deputy Minister asked the Cai Tau Prison's leadership and staff to strengthen Party and force building. The prison should classify its prisoners while ensuring the safety for the inmates and protecting security for prison’s facilities.
