Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong works with Fire Police Department

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Minister Vuong highlighted the important role of the Fire police forces in the current context when there appear more and more new urban areas and high-rise apartment buildings across the country. 

Deputy Minister Vuong also asked all functional units to promote reviews of legal documents on fire prevention and fighting, and rescue to propose necessary amendments or supplements to the current regulations for further effectiveness while enhancing dissemination of fire prevention and safety regulations and providing training for self-defense and fire prevention and fighting forces at the grassroots level.

Leaders of the Department also briefed the Deputy Minister on the plan to consolidate the force and establish fire units at commune and district levels to improve the effectiveness of the force’s State management of fire prevention and fighting. Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong agreed with the proposed plan and asked the leadership to complete the organization of give concrete tasks to commune- and district- level units.

Additionally, the Deputy Minister also asked the fire police to promote the efficiency of rescue work, coordinate with other local police forces to establish rescue teams under the local condition while increasing checks of establishments and premises’ observance of the fire safety regulations, and expanding international cooperation on scientific research and and application of advanced technology in fire prevention and fighting and rescue.
