Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi attends Party Congress of the Security Guard Force

The Party organization of the Security Guard Force under the Ministry of Public Security held its 9th Congress for the 2020-2025 term on August 14.

Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a keynote speech at the event.

According to the political report delivered at the Congress, during the last term the Party organization led the force to grasp the situation and coordinate with relevant public security agencies and units to protect activities of Party and State leaders, some 400 foreign delegations visiting Vietnam as well as ensure safety for various important events, including the 12th National Party Congress, APEC 2018, the UN Day of Vesak 2019, and ASEAN Summit 2020.

Delegates at the event commented on the draft political report of the Party organization and elected the Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term and a delegation to attend the 7th Congress of the public security organization.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi recognized and applauded the efforts and achievements gained by the Party organization over the past time.

Given the complicated development of domestic and international situations, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi asked the High Command to implement working plans effectively and regularly drill in various scenarios of protecting Party, State leaders, important events and international delegations. It should pay more attention to promoting coordination with relevant units inside and outside of the Public Security Forces.   

Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi also highlighted the importance of professional training, the Party and force building. He asked the Party organization to pay more attention to ideological education for its officers and soldiers, fighting all manifestations of degradation in political ideology, morality and lifestyle. It should continuously improve physical and spiritual lives of its Party members, officers and soldiers.
