Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi receives Iranian Ambassador

Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on May 21 received Mr. Saleh Adibi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Vietnam.

An overview of the meeting. 

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi spoke highly of the Iranian Government and people’s efforts in controlling and preventing the COVID-19 pandemic. 

According to the Deputy Minister, the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security has sent 10,000 facemasks to the Iranian Ministry of Interior to overcome difficulties in the fight against COVID-19.

Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi also proposed the Iranian law enforcement agencies to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Iran amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi suggested the two sides to strengthen exchange of delegations at all levels in the coming time while developing a legal framework for long-term professional cooperation, cooperation in crime prevention and criminal justice as well as cooperation in training of professional and foreign language skills.

Ambassador Saleh Adibi thanked Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi for the warm reception and appreciated Vietnam’s efforts in preventing and controlling COVID-19. He also expressed gratitude to the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security for the gifts for the Iranian Ministry of the Interior.

Ambassador Saleh Adibi affirmed that, in his working position, he will contribute to promoting the relations between Iran and Vietnam in general and between the Iranian law enforcement agencies and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in particular.
