Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi visits Historical Site of former Security Zone 9
PSNews - On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs’ Day, the Public Security Ministry's delegation led by Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security offered a flowers and incense at the Historical Site of former Security Zone 9 in An Minh Bac commune, U Minh Thuong district, Kien Giang province, on July 23.

The Public Security Ministry's delegation recalled the glorious achievements of Zone 9's former security force. The security force in collaboration with other Vietnamese armed forces defeated enemy's military campaigns during the anti-US war.
In particular, the force closely coordinated with the people in the Southwestern region to simultaneously attack enemy bases in 1975, contributing to the victory of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign and liberation of the South.
Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi emphasized, this meaningful activity of the Public Security Ministry aims to educate today’s officers and soldiers about the glorious tradition and great victories of the previous generation of security officers.
On this occasion, Major General Le Tan Toi and other delegates visited and presented gifts to wounded soldiers and martyrs' relatives in U Minh Thuong, An Bien and Vinh Thuan districts.
Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi expressed gratitude to wounded soldiers, martyrs’ families and revolution contributors for their contributions and sacrifices for national independence and freedom.
He instructed the local police units to continuously promote the Vietnamese people’s philosophy of life “When drinking water, remember its source.”
