Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Director of the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Police Department briefed the delegates on its working results, stating that, over the past time, the Thua Thien - Hue police forces have maintained security and safety for the Party congresses at all levels in the locality. The situation of the COVID-19 has been under control while local security and social order have been maintained with the number of crimes controlled.

Notably, the Thua Thien-Hue police have completed the collection of population data to feed the national database on population project, developed a project on the establishment of the cyber security and hi-tech crime prevention office under the Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police Department, and completed the project on posting professional police officers to all communes in the province. The provincial police department also improved the capacity of local police officers, well managed and used the telecommunications infrastructure network, and increased the application of information technology to work.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi recognized and praised the achievements made by the Thua Thien - Hue police forces over the past time. He also asked the local police to especially maintain security, social order and safety for political events in the province in the coming time.
