Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc works with Kien Giang provincial police

Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security on June 27 had a meeting with the Kien Giang Provincial Police Department on the results of the provincial police’s task performance in the first half of 2020.

Over the past time, the Kien Giang provincial police forces have actively coordinated with other functional forces in preventing the COVID-19 pandemic in the province.

They have also taken drastic measures to crack down on organized crime, “black credit” crime, drug-related crime, smuggling and environmental law violations.

Furthermore, the local police have effectively rolled out plans to safeguard the Party congresses of organizations and agencies at all levels in the province in preparation for the 13th National Party Congress.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc recognized and praised the efforts and achievements made by the Kien Giang provincial police over the past six months.

Deputy Minister Ngoc requested the Party Committee and Directorate of the Kien Giang Provincial Police Department to direct their subordinate units to continue maintaining political and cultural security, protecting state secrets, and fighting crimes of all kinds.

He also urged the provincial police to take measures to ensure security and safety for the Party congresses of agencies at all levels in the province and pay due attention to preparing for the Kien Giang Provincial Police Party Congress in the term 2020-2025.
