Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son chairs meeting of public security businesses

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on October 9 chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee on renovation and development of businesses under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

According to reports at the meeting, over the past 9 months, the businesses under the MPS had total revenues of over VND 2,133 billion, accounting for 81% of the 2019 set plan for 2019. They contributed VND 44.1 billion to the state budget.

The reports also revealed that public security firms faced various difficulties and that there were a number of shortcomings in their business and production.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son highlighted that the Government considered 2019 as the year to make a breakthrough in fulfilling the 2016-2020 socio-economic development target.

In the context of the U.S – China trade war, which has had severe impacts on the global economy, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son encouraged the public security businesses to overcome all difficulties and fulfill all given tasks.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son asked the businesses to strive to achieve growth rates from 10% to 15% higher than the 2019 plans set by the MPS, and urgently develop their own business strategies for the period of 2020-2025 with high business targets and breakthrough business solutions.
