Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son presents gifts to cancer patients in Danang |
The gifts was donated by the Association of Hoa Vang district Fellows (Danang city) living in Ho Chi Minh City and the US's International Education Development Group ABU. The 500 gifts, including cash and milk worth 200 million VND were handed by Deputy Minister Son and other delegates to patients at the hospital with a hope of easing their pains and their difficulties.
During the meaningful activity at the Danang Cancer Hospital, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son came to each patient bed and inquired after them.
He wished the patients would be more optimistic and have a happy Lunar New Year, saying they are wholeheartedly cared for by doctors and nurses of the Danang Cancer Hospital.
Earlier, during a meeting with the hospital's leaders and medical workers, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son expressed his appreciation to the whole staff of the hospital for their efforts in curing and helping needy patients from not only Danang but also other localities.
He spoke highly of the noble deeds of the staff of the Danang Cancer Hospital, saying they have helped and save a lot of poor patients with serious illnesses over the past time.
On the same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son also visited and extended New Year greetings to relatives and families of former leaders of the Danang Municipal Police Department.
