Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son visits and presents gift to injured police

PSNews - Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security on July 1st followed by a working delegation visited Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Anh Duc, an officer of the Ha Tinh Provincial Police, who was recently injured during doing his duty.

The Deputy Minister inquired after the brave policeman and wished him to quickly recover and soon return to work. Deputy Minister Son also asked officers and soldiers of the Ha Tinh Traffic Police as well as Duc's family to take good care of him.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son also expressed his sincere thanks to doctors and nurses of Viet Duc Hospital for their treatment of comrades Duc. He believed that Viet Duc's doctors with their devotedness and competence would help Duc to recover soon.

According to Director of Viet Duc Hospital Tran Binh Giang, patient Nguyen Anh Duc had brain hemorrhage while his left leg bone was broken. Having received emergency treatment, the brain hemorrhage has stopped and posed no threat to life but the degree of his recovery still remains a question. Viet Duc hospital pledged to do its best to save him.

The driver who injured Senior Lieutenant Duc is under investigation and will be punished according to the law, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son said.

On behalf of the officers and soldiers of the Public Security Newspaper, Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham visited and encouraged Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Anh Duc and his family. Senior Colonel Tham also presented a 5 million VND gift of the Public Security Newspaper and Motorola Company to Nguyen Anh Duc and his family.

Previously, on 30th June, a working team of the Ha Tinh Traffic Police, while on duty, detected a container truck with its licensed plate 77C-016.47 exceeded the speed limit of 60km/h. The team signaled to stop the truck but the driver tried to run the truck away. He even deliberately darted the truck onto the working team, injuring Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Anh Duc, who was trying to grasp the front mirror to stop the truck.
