Reports at the event read that, the Department of Logistics in recent time guided public security units to effectively use funding sources as well as successfully performed their functions as a second-level-estimator.
The unit also ensured sufficient and good logistic services and supplies for various operations of public security units at all levels, inspected the management and use of buildings and land allocated to the MPS and its units, designated vehicles for regular and irregular tasks, particularly for political events of the Party and the State.
In addition, the sector streamlined its apparatus and structural organization towards effectiveness and efficiency, managed and maintained the technical systems of office buildings under its management as well as arranged appropriate accommodations for public security leaders, officers and soldiers, and foreign police officers working and studying in Vietnam.
At the meeting, delegates also discussed problems and shortcomings in the logistics work and recommended the Ministry of Public Security’s leaders and functional units a number of solutions to surmount the weaknesses in the coming time.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son recognized and praised the achievements obtained by the Department of Logistics over the past years.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son asked the sector to revise the decision on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Department of Logistics and propose amendments and supplements to the Ministry of Public Security’s leaders for consideration while drawing up a project to build a system of guest houses for the People's Public Security Forces and the 2020 budget plan for attached units and its subordinates of the third level.
