At the meeting, Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Trung, Director of the Ha Nam Provincial Police Department, briefed Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son and other delegates on security and social order maintenance as well as issues related to planning, finance, logistics and technology of the provincial police over the past months.
Regarding security and social order maintenance, the local police forces destroyed 19 criminal gangs, successfully investigated 101 economic cases , eradicated four drug trafficking rings, solved 104 violations against regulations on environmental protection, natural resources exploitation and food safety with a total fine of tens of billions of VND. The Ha Nam provincial police also took drastic measures to ensure traffic order and safety at the locality.
In the complicated situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police of Ha Nam province, in coordination with the functional forces, have taken drastic measures to prevent the spread of the disease into the community while taking good care of the health of all local police officers and soldiers. They also well maintained security and social order in quarantine zones and swiftly handled law violations related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
So far, the Ha Nam provincial police have deployed 287 professional police officers to the all 89 communes in the province.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son asked the Ha Nam provincial police to review their working plans and well perform their assigned tasks. They should also guarantee the successful organization of local police units’ Party congresses.
The Deputy Minister suggested speeding up ongoing projects while paying due attention and investing more in the building of facilities for district-level and communal police forces under the directions of the Ministry of Public Security’s leaders, meeting the requirement of protecting national security in the new situation.
