A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security had a working trip on the afternoon of August 11 to Hoang Tien Prison, in Hai Duong province. 

At the meeting between the delegation and the prison’s staff, Senior Colonel Nguyen Huu Am, Chief Warden of Hoang Tien Prison briefed General Son and his entourage on the unit’s task performance as well as the situation of the prison over the past time.

He said that the management and detention of prisoners there achieved positive results with a sharp fall in inmates’ violation of regulations. The prison also correctly implemented State policies for inmates as well as promoted vocational training for prisoners.

In particular, on August 6, the Hoang Tien Prison announced a decision on conditional early release of 67 prisoners who had met all conditions and criteria.

Addressing the working session, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son recognized and highly appreciated achievements of the staff of Hoang Tien Prison over the past time. 

He emphasized that, in the coming time, leadership of Hoang Tien Prison should focus on Party and force building, while promoting the management and education of political ideology, raising sense of responsibility and improving professional skills for all subordinate officers and soldiers.

Besides, the unit should strictly implement regulations on detention and policies for prisoners while actively grasping the situation and prisoners’ thoughts in order to deal with unexpected cases. Additionally, leaders of the unit should also coordinate closely with local authorities in the work of ensuring security, social order and political tasks of the locality.
