Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh attends IFSR’s 19th Dialogue
PSNews – A delegation of Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security (MPS) attended the 19th Dialogue of the International Federation for Systems Research (IFSR) organized in Linz, Austria from April 8 to 10.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, led the delegation of the MPS to attend the 19th Dialogue of the IFSR at the invitation of Professor Gerhard Chroust, Secretary General of the IFSR.
The 19th Dialogue of the IFSR saw the participation of leading scientists, professors on systems thinking in science as well as delegates, academics and researchers from scientific institutions around the world.

The dialogue took place at a time when current booming development of digital technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution had had a direct impact on all aspects of social life.
Along with globalization and trade liberalization, this revolution will bring about breakthroughs in socio-economic development, science and technology, and directly impact human living conditions, on one hand; it will pose various challenges to security, safety and social security of the whole population, on the other hand.

At the dialogue, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh delivered a speech discussing the application of systems thinking in settling non-traditional security threats in the context of the 4th industrial revolution and in building smart city models, as well as the application of the indexes of security, social security and safety to the building of the smart city model in Vietnam. He also discussed challenges to states in their efforts to ensure sustainable development.
During his trip to Austria, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh visited the Embassy of Vietnam in Austria.
