Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh attends international conference in Scotland
A high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) attended a workshop on social enterprises and sustainable future, held from October 7-10 at the Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland, at the invitation of the Assist Social Capital CIC.

The delegation was led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security.
At the workshop, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh delivered a presentation on the application of systematic thinking into social enterprise policy development in Vietnam in the context of globalization and impact of the 4th Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0).
He also concentrated on analyzing the core issue of non-traditional security in the IR 4.0 and shared with Scottish experts the studies of social enterprises in general and the role of social enterprises as one of the tools for sustainable development; the model of linking 4 parties in agriculture: Farmer - enterprise - State - scientist to combine production with processing and consumption to promote sustainable agricultural production.
The presentation of Deputy Minister Thanh was applauded by participating scholars, researchers and law enforcement agencies in Scotland for its comprehension, creativity and strategic vision, offering a new approach to sustainable development goals.
In addition to his participation in the official programs of the workshop, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also met various professors and scholars of the UK and attended a banquet hosted by the Mayor of Edinburgh and the Scottish Secretary for Communities and Local Government. During the meetings, the two sides discussed future cooperation in the fields related to the themes of the workshop.
