Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh urges to strengthen high-level political theory training in PSF

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security on December 3 chaired a meeting on high-level political theory training with a delegation of the Party Central Committee's (PCC) Commission for Organization, led by Mr. Mai Van Chinh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Commission.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh said that, over the past time, thanked to the support of the PCC Commission for Organization, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and the PCC Commission for Education and Information, the Public Security Forces (PSF) has conducted the high-level political theory training strictly in accordance with the regulations of the Central Party Committee and Conclusion No.25 of the Secretariat.

Since 2018, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) has opened 7 full-time training courses on high-level political theory for 350 cadres, 15 part-time training courses on high-level political theory for 1,350 cadres, and 10 improvement courses on political theory for 1,000 cadres.

Leaders of the MPS also directed its relevant agencies and education and training institutions under the MPS to well prepare facilities, programs and textbooks, as well as qualified lecturers for high-level political theory training for personnel of the PSF in line with Conclusion No.25.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh and Mr. Mai Van Chinh both agreed that the inspection of the high-level political theory training for public security officers is very necessary in order to evaluate the training results, and identify difficulties and issues in the work. Based on the result of the inspection, the MPS could work out approaches to strengthen the quality of high-level political theory training within the PSF.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also asked the Public Security Department of Education and Training to work closely with the People’s Public Security Political Academy, the People's Security Academy and the People's Police Academy to prepare all necessary documents ready for the inspection.
