Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh visits Ha Giang

A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Central Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security on July 4 visited and worked with the Police Station of Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang.

At the meeting, leaders of the Vi Xuyen District Police Station briefed the Deputy Minister and the working delegation on the local situation of political security, social order and safety and its task performance in the first half of 2018 as well as its working plans for the rest of the year.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh recognized and praised all achievements gained by the district police in the past time. He also urged the police of Vi Xuyen to focus on grasping the situation, making good forecasts on situational developments, and actively advise the leaders of the Provincial Police and authorities on security and order issues.

The Deputy Minister also asked the district police to attach importance to force building work as well as training of police officers and soldiers; enhance effectiveness of its State management of national security, social security and order to achieve 3 targets: reducing cost, time and administrative procedure. Deputy Minister Thanh also asked the Vi Xuyen police force to coordinate closely with relevant agencies and units to effectively suppress crimes in the locality.

On the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 – 2018), Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh and the delegation visited and paid tribute to martyrs at the National Martyr Cemetery of Vi Xuyen district.
