Deputy Minister of Public Security works with police forces in Can Tho city
The 5th delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, led by Senior Lieutenant General Pham Dung, deputy Minister of Public Security on October 20 worked with Can Tho City’s Public security Department and Fire Police Department.

Participating the delegation were leaders of the Office of Ministry Public Security, leaders of General Departments and leader of Can Tho City, including comrade Pham Gia Tuc, deputy head of the city’s Party Committee, comrade Vo Thanh Thong, chairman of the city’s People Committee.

At the working session, Colonel Nguyen Van Thuan, deputy head of the Can Tho Public Security Department, reported to the delegation on the results achieved by his units in the first 10 months of 2016.
Accordingly, following directions of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Can Tho Party Committee and the People's Committee, provincial police forces have been actively implementing all tasks. They have organized forecast activities to grasp and handle the situation, implemented effective plans to ensure the national security in the whole city.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Minister Pham Dung noted and appreciated the efforts of the Can Tho police in order to maintain political security, social order and safety in the province.
He also asked the Can Tho Police to continue to implement all police’s tasks, to actively grasp the situation changes, to understand the internal security situation in order to proactively advise the Provincial Party committees for directions and to ensure internal unity, social order and safety in the province.

Also at the meeting, reporting to the Deputy Minister, Major General Tran Thi Ngoc Dep, director of Can Tho City Fire Police Department said, in the first 10 months of 2016, her unit has cooperated closely with other departments, divisions and branches to effectively implement all policies and work plans, contributing to maintaining political security, fire safety in order to serve the ocio-economic development of the city.
