Deputy Minister pays working visit to Dong Thap Provincial Police

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Pham Dung, Deputy Minister of Public Security paid a working visit to the Dong Thap Provincial Police on November 2nd.

The delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) included Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Nam, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics; Lieutenant General Ksor Nham, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics as well as leaders of the General Department of Police and leaders of MPS's office.

On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and MPS's leaders, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Dung acknowledged, highly valued and praised the efforts and the outcomes of the Dong Thap Provincial Police in various aspects of work, which led to a stable and favourable environment for local socio-economic development.

Generally, the Dong Thap Provincial Police fulfilled its assignments, especially social prevention and control and community reintegration, contributing to reducing crimes, ensuring political security and social order security in the South Western region. 

Deputy Minister Pham Dung thanked all leaders of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, the Dong Thap Provincial People's Council, the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee as well as other relevant branches for their supporting the Dong Thap Provincial Police over the past time.

He also noted that the Dong Thap Provincial Police should actively research and focus on causes of cases, while boosting  prevention approaches based social development and police expertise in the time ahead. 

The Dong Thap Provincial Police forces should also focus on the fight against crimes, particularly transborder smuggling and drugs trafficking. 

All officers in charge should heighten responsibility for their tasks, actively popularize traffic safety, fire prevention to people and successfully handle complaints and petitions relating to the land issue, contributing to ensuring stable local politics, legal observation, security, religious situation and social order. 

In the morning of the same day, Senior Lieutenant General Dung led the MPS's delelation to lay flowery wreaths at the Nguyen Sinh Sac relic site, Cao Lanh city.
