Dien Bien police roll out working plan for 2021

The police of Dien Bien province held a meeting on December 19 to review their task performance in 2020 and roll out their working plan for 2021.
Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi, under the authority of the State President, presented the third-class “Feat of Arms” Order to the Professional Techniques Office under the Provincial Police Department.

The event saw the presence of Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Mr. Le Thanh Do, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Dien Bien and other delegates.

According to reports at the event, the provincial police successfully investigated some 180 cases of social order violations and arrested 319 people involved, and recovered over 1.2 billion VND of the lost assets. They also arrested 850 people involved in 746 drug-related cases, seized over 126 kg of heroin and 35 kg of synthetic drugs, 17 kg of crystalline drugs and 12.9 kg of marijuana.

Additionally, the provincial police also investigated 139 cases related to economic and environmental sectors.

For its outstanding achievements at work, the Provincial Police Department received the “Excellent Emulation Flag” in the “National Security Protection Emulation” Movement in 2020 presented from the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi acknowledged the efforts and achievements gained by the provincial police. He also highlighted major tasks for the local police force in 2021.

Particularly, the provincial police were asked to take measures to curb criminal offences, crack down on inter-provincial, cross-border drug trafficking rings, and reduce social order violations.

Outstanding units honored at the event. 

They should pay more attention to building up the communal police force, launch intensive campaigns to suppress crimes, especially during the upcoming Traditional Lunar New Year holiday, the National Party Congress and the Elections of the National Assembly and the People’s Councils at various levels term 2021-2026.

At the event, under the authority of the State President, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi presented the third-class “Feat of Arms” Order to the Professional Techniques Office under the Provincial Police Department. Various individuals and units under the provincial police with achievements were also honored.
