Exhibition on Vietnam’s Paracel and Spratly Islands opens in Ha Nam
PSNews-The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) in cooperation with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Nam organized an exhibition named “Vietnam’s Paracel and Spratly Islands – Historical and Legal Evidence”, at Nam Ha Prison (Tan Son commune, Kim Bang district).
The exhibition aims at displaying information and legal evidence to confirm Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos, and promoting patriotism, national pride and sense of responsibility in protecting national sovereignty of the seas and islands of the country to officers, soldiers as well as prisoners at the Nam Ha Detention Center.
Le Xuan Huy, Director of Ha Nam's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized that Vietnam’s seas and islands are sections of the country's sacred territory and take an important part in the cause of national construction, development and defense.
The exhibition “Vietnam’s Hoang Sa, Truong Sa - Historical and Legal Evidence” is a meaningful activity joining the common effort of the whole nation to support the seas and islands, the precious territory of the country.
The exhibition displays over 200 images, documents and documentary films in four categories: Documents published by Vietnamese feudal reigns between the 17th century and the 20th century, written materials in Chinese, French and Vietnamese providing information related to the Paracel and Spratly archipelagos of Vietnam; Atlas Collection confirming Vietnam's sovereignty over the two archipelagos; and pictures featuring lives of soldiers and people in the Vietnamese islands of Paracel and Spratly as well as some pictures depicting typical activities of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee, Government and people in in support of the country’s seas and islands.
