The National Traffic Safety Committee in collaboration with the Traffic Police Department and Toyota Motors Vietnam held a press conference on August 9 to introduce the traffic safety film festival "Expanding traffic culture among Vietnamese youths", in Hanoi
Delivering the opening speech, Major General Tran Son Ha, Director of the Traffic Police Department claimed that traffic accidents as well as traffic order and safety violations are quite popular with teenagers. Therefore, building a traffic culture among Vietnamese youths bears a strategic vision in this current situation.
The film festival aims to popularize the traffic law to all people, improving people's awareness and knowledge when participating in traffic.
The traffic safety film festival has become a traditional activity first launched by the National Traffic Safety Committee in 1996. After nine festivals organized in nine years, the program has attracted attention and participation of ministries, departments, press agencies and a large number of people, contributing to reducing traffic accidents, traffic order and safety violations.
All Vietnamese citizens and organizations are eligible for the film contest, which includes three categories: documentary, short clip and educational program. The closing and award ceremony will be held in December.
All entries must be sent to the organizing board before October 15th.
