Fire Police Department rolls out new working plans
The Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department organized a conference on January 10 to roll out its new working plan for 2020. Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a keynote speech at the event.

According to reports at the event, the legal framework related to fire prevention and fighting was increasingly completed in 2019.
The fire force successfully ensured fire safety for many festivals as well as cultural, economic and political events of the country. Further, the force inspected fire safety plans at shopping malls, supermarkets, high-rise buildings, industrial and residential areas.
In 2019, 3,790 fire incidents. including 1,682 cases resulting from electricity and 645 cases caused by oil products or chemicals, happened in the country, killing 85, injuring 126 and causing an estimated loss of some 1,527 billion dongs and 3,952 hectares of forest. Meanwhile, 26 explosions also killed 17 and injured 40 last year.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc applauded the efforts and achievements of the department in the past time.
Deputy Minister Ngoc urged the fire police force to step up inspection of fire safety and handling of violations of fire prevention regulations from the beginning of the year.
He also highlighted the importance of the Party and force building as well as promotion of the image of the fire police force.
Deputy Minister Ngoc asked the department to participate actively in preventing and fighting crimes and ensuring security and order during the Traditional New Year while getting ready to fight fires promptly and effectively.
