Fire Police Force asked to strengthen fire prevention operations

• Leaders of fire police units attend in-depth training course
• PSF urged to enhance measures to prevent large fire incidents

In 2018, the fire police force closely followed the directions of the Government and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS); actively gave good advice to the higher-level authorities to deploy forces and measures in order to promote the effectiveness of fire prevention and fighting work.

The unit also organized interdisciplinary working teams of the MPS and the Ministry of Construction to conduct inspections of fire safety at residential apartments and high buildings in 7 provinces and municipalities under the Directive of the Prime Minister and the Dispatches of the Minister of Public Security on strengthening fire prevention and fighting and rescue.

In 2018, many organizations and individuals of the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue were honored to receive awards from the Government, the local authorities at all levels and the MPS, including a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister and an Emulation Flag of the MPS. The unit also received the Emulation Flag "For Fatherland Security" for Excellent Unit in 2018 from the Government.

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leaders of the MPS, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong recognized and spoke highly of the efforts and achievements of the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue in 2018.

In the coming time, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong urged the fire police force to seriously grasp and implement all guidelines and policies of the Party and the laws of the State on the functions and missions of the fire police force; mobilize the strength of the entire political system and people from all walks of life to participate in fire prevention and fighting and rescue; actively give advice to local authorities to complete institutions and legal corridors for the State management on fire prevention and fighting and rescue.

The force should thoroughly promote the principle: Preventive measures are the main and fundamental element in all fire prevention, fighting and rescue work. At the same time, it should continue raising sense of responsibility of the residential community for fire prevention and fighting, and following the "four-on-site" motto  in fire prevention and fighting and rescue.

In the short term, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong asked the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue to implement drastically the plans to prevent fire during the Lunar New Year and festive season of 2019.
