In the last term, the Party Executive Committee of the Police Department of Fire and Rescue has advised the Government and the MPS’s leaders to roll out action plans, organize conferences on fire safety, and launch peak months of fire prevention and fighting.

The committee also directly advised higher-level authorities to establish various interdisciplinary inspection delegations to check fire safety, fire prevention and fighting plans at localities with high risks of fire.

Under the leadership of the Party committee, the fire and rescue police also enhanced the dissemination of regulations on fire safety and rescue to people while promoting the “All people participate in fire prevention and fighting” movement in couple with the “All people protect the national security” movement.

The force also developed the fire prevention and fighting model “On-site firefighting force; on-site firefighting equipment; on-site firefighting command; on-site firefighting logistics.”

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested the Party Committee of the fire and rescue police to well perform the State management over fire safety and rescue while mobilizing the entire political system and all people to participate in fire prevention and fighting.

They should also improve the quality and efficiency of disseminating laws on fire prevention and fighting as well as strengthen the inspection of fire safety at key facilities with high risks of fire and explosion. The Deputy Minister also asked the force to strictly handle business establishments which seriously violate fire safety regulations.

According to the leader of the MPS, the department should consolidate the organizational apparatus of the firefighting and rescue police force at the grassroots level while strengthening all professional, part-time and on-site firefighting forces.

They should invest more in researching and applying scientific and technical advances, especially digital technology, automation, and artificial intelligence, in firefighting and rescue while expanding international cooperation in the field of firefighting and rescue in the time to come.
