Fire prevention and fighting skills trained for households in Thua Thien Hue apartments

Senior Colonel Nguyen Truong Son, Director of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Fire Police said that, besides the dissemination and training programs on fire prevention and fighting, the unit also provided local households and apartment buildings' managers guidance on how to deal with fire and explosion incidents, escape skills in case of fire, and safe uses of gas, electricity and fuel-run devices and equipment.

Besides, the unit also instructed participants how to use correctly portable fire extinguishers in apartments, thereby helping them to solve a fire or explosion incident.

Previously, on April 15, the Thua Thien Hue Fire Police also held a dissemination and training course on fire prevention and fighting, and the use of portable fire extinguishers for 250 households of Xuan Phu apartment building in Hue city.

Official statics of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Fire Police show that 10 local apartment buildings located in Hue city accommodate thousands of residents. However, some apartment buildings have been downgrading quickly while the building management is limited and there are no fire and smoke  censors, cameras and the like. This poses high risk of fire and explosion.
