First Party Congress of Party and Political Work Department took place

The Party organization was established in October 2018 based on the incorporation of the Party organizations of the former Department of Party Work and Mass Mobilization, the former Department of Political Work, the Public Security Center for Sports Training and Competition, and the Museum of Public Security Forces.

Since its foundation, the department’s Party organization has thoroughly implemented the resolutions and directives of the Party Central Committee, the Public Security Central Party Committee, and the Ministry of Public Security.

It proactively adviced the Public Security Central Party Committee on consolidating Party organizations and committees at all levels in the Public Security Forces.

Political information and education work was renovated so it gained positive results. The Party organization also recommended the Central Public Security Party Committee to lead the development of cultural and sport activities of the forces in line with the Party's guidelines, contributing to popularizing and protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

Further, it assisted the Central Public Security Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security in effectively implementing emulation and commendation work and enhancing the observance of discipline among public security officers and Party members.

Speaking at the Congress, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh praised the Party organization for its achievements in last term.

The Deputy Minister asked that the Party organization should attach importance to reviewing its working regulations and organizational apparatus while strengthening the management of its Party members.

He emphasized that the Party organization should promote its leadership over the department’s task performance while intensifying political education for Party members, contributing to building clean and strong Public Security Forces capable of successfully completing the political missions assigned by the Party, State and people.

At the Congress, delegates elected the Party Executive Committee of the new term and a delegation to attend the 7th Public Security Party Congress.
