Functions, tasks and structures of public security education institutions announced

Senior Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a speech at the meeting.
At the meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Public Security announced the decisions specifying the functions, tasks, authorities, organizational structures and locations of eight public security academies and universities, namely the People's Security Academy, the People's Police Academy, the Public Security Academy of Politics, the Public Security Academy of International Affairs, the People's Security University, the People's Police University, the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting, the Public Security University of Techniques and Logistics.

The leaders of the Ministry of Public Security also announced decisions on the appointment of several deputy director posts of academies and universities.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh requested the public security schools to immediately carry out the procedures for transferring premises and equipment according to the decisions. They should readjust their staffing in accordance with their new functions, missions and organizational structures.
The Deputy Minister also urged the schools to actively enhance education and trainingmanagement and improve their quality assessment systems while paying due attention to building a competent teaching contingent and developing comprehensive qualities of the learners.
