General Department of Police reviews task performance in H1 of 2017

PSNews - The general department should continuously promote international cooperation in preventing crimes and crack down on crimes, especially transnational crimes, drug crimes, criminal gangs, smuggling as well as promptly and efficiently settle pressing issues in key localities.

The General Department of Police held a conference to review the police force’s task performance in the first half (H1) of 2017 on July 5, in Hanoi, under the chair of Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security.

The conference also saw the participation of Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

In H1, the General Department of Police made excellent advice on important issues to the Party and the State, contributing to promoting the comprehensive power of our political system in crime prevention and combat.

Over the past 6 months, the General Department of Police has directed its subordinate units to successfully implement 2 nationwide anti-crime campaigns and handled many complex cases in key areas.

Addressing the conference, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam affirmed that the achievements obtained by the police force in H1 contributed much to the general outcomes of the public security forces.

He underscored that, in the coming time, the global, regional and domestic situations will become more complicated. Therefore, the police force should exert all-out efforts to successfully fulfill their assignments, particularly in struggle against crimes.

Agreeing with the key tasks for H2 of 2017 outlined by the General Department of Police, Minister To Lam emphasized that all police units should focus on promoting Party and force building, cementing its organizational structure, and well implementating Resolution 4 of the 12th Party Central Committee. 

The general department should continuously promote international cooperation in preventing crimes and crack down on crimes, especially transnational crimes, drug crimes, criminal gangs, smuggling as well as promptly and efficiently settle pressing issues in key localities.

Additionally, the general department should make good preparations to bring to life the amended criminal law, which has just been approved by the National Assembly.
