Binh Duong borders Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, and has nearly 50 industrial parks and industrial groupings, which serve as a good basis for the province’s socio-economic development while covering latent factors, complicating the local security situation and causing difficulties to the police management in the area, said Senior Colonel Nguyen Hoang Thao, Director of Binh Duong Provincial Police.
Against this backdrop, the Binh Duong Provincial Police actively gave advice to the Provincial Party Committee and authorities at various levels, to build, maintain, strengthen and expand effective crime prevention models with the involvement of the people, such as Crime Prevention Club; Security Teams in various enterprises.
At the same time, two new models were built: "Motor Ambulance Team" by the Red Cross Team of Di An town, Binh Duong province and model of mobilizing people to install “Camera system” in Binh Hoa ward, Thuan An town.
The two new models have achieved good results in the movement to protect national security.
Particularly, the model of “Self-managed Security Team in Enterprises” has been maintained and promoted. To date, some 245 companies in Binh Duong have had their own “Self-managed Security Teams”
In response to the complex security situation in industrial zones, the Binh Duong Provincial Police has completed a draft project to organize self-managed and self-run security teams of young workers in enterprises.
In order to improve the effectiveness of the movement, the Binh Duong police force also strived to mobilize the entire population to participate in preventing crimes and maintaining security during the holidays and the Lunar New Year, said Senior Colonel Thao. An indispensable part of any movement is the reward and encouragement to the students, the "Knights” and good citizens, who contribute to crime prevention and fight.
