HCM city's traffic police officers praised for detecting 315 kg of heroin

For their achievement, the two traffic police officers received certificates of merits from the Ho Chi Minh City's Youth Union, awarded by the union's deputy secretary Ngo Minh Hai.

Captain Giang Hoang Thien and Lieutenant Tran Van Luong detected the amount of heroin during their patrol on March 27's night on National Highway 22.

Thien and Luong successfully arrested one of the two people on the car while the other was later seized by the police force.

The two arrested people on the car confessed that they were on way to deliver the drugs to Hoc Mon district. After searching the vehicle, the police force found 895 cakes (315kg) of heroin.

Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City's Youth Union praised the two police officers, saying their good deeds greatly contributed to the city's order and peace.
