HCMC and Long An Police offer medical supplies to Cambodian Police amid COVID-19 pandemic

PSNews – The Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Municipal Police Department and the Long An Provincial Police Department held a ceremony at the Binh Hiep Border Gate, Kien Tuong Town, Long An Province to present cash and medical supplies to some police units of the Royal Cambodian Gendarmerie (RCG). 

The medical supplies are expected to support Cambodian local police units in preventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the handover ceremony, the HCMC Police and the Long An Police also presented 200 million VND to the Phnom Penh Municipal Police Department, 100 million VND to the Pray Veng Provincial Police Department, and 100 million VND to the Pray Rieng Provincial Police Department.

The HCMC Police also presented 70 bottles of disinfectants and 20 boxes of facemasks to these Cambodian police units. Major General Le Hong Nam, Director of the HCMC Police also presented some packs of gifts to Cambodian police officers working on the frontline of the COVID-19 fight.

At the ceremony, Major General Cao Dang Hung, Deputy Director of the HCMC Police spoke highly of the effort of the RCG in coping with the recent COVID-19 outbreak in Cambodia.

A representative of the three RCG units expressed thanks to the HCMC Police and the Long An Police for the valuable support.
