PSNews – The Ha Giang Police force on March 3rd started the construction of an overflow bridge across a stream nearby Bo Lam hamlet, Na Khuong commune, Quang Binh district to facilitate travel of local people in the remote area.

Up to now, the only way to go from Bo Lam hamlet to the central commune is to wade through the stream.

During the rainy season, floods block the way. The construction of the overflow bridge will certainly help local children go to school, and contributes local trading and socio-cultural development.

The overflow bridge in Bo Lam hamlet is nearly 50m in length, including a 12m main section of 12m of steel concrete. The bridge is 6m wide and 2m high.

Ha Giang Police have mobilized nearly 700 million VND for the construction from the Quoc dan (National) Commercial Bank while Quang Company is responsible for the construction. The project plans to be completed after 2 months.

This is a practical project to contribute to building a new-style rural model in remote areas, and to facilitate transportation for local people.
