The country's Central region has been battered by torrential downpours in recent weeks, causing severe flooding and landslides. Many places in Ha Tinh province are experiencing the worst flood in decades.

In Cam Xuyen, Huong Khe, Huong Son and Vu Quang district, schools were terribly devastated by the recent flooding. Thousands of pupils in the province have been told to stay home as the schools have closed due to serious natural disasters.
Against the backdrop, dozens of officers from the Ha Tinh Police have been mobilized to clean up school facilities, helping them to soon reopen schools.

The officers also join hand with locals in cleaning up roads, office buildings, medical stations and houses, helping locals to soon resume their normal daily life.
In the past days, officers from the Ha Tinh Police have also been deployed to join local police forces in surveying the situation in key localities and critical areas with high risks of floods and landslides to find the preventive measures while quickly handling cases related to public order and security.
In flood-prone areas, policemen helped local people relocate their property to safe places. Up to now, all police units have prepared their forces and means for all possible incidents caused by floods and rains.
