In Hai Duong, the COVID-19 pandemic situation has become complicated with a rise in the numbers of COVID-19 patients and COVID-19 suspects in the community.
Against this backdrop, the Hai Duong province authority has urgently locked the city down and taken drastic measures to quell the pandemic.
The city also enhanced information dissemination to raise public awareness of COVID-19 prevention and fight.
Joining local efforts in the fight against COVID-19, the local police units have mobilized all of their police officers and soldiers to be ready for missions in COVID-19 hit areas and trace all people contacting COVID-19 patients and suspects.
The police forces also urged the locals to declare their health status and strictly follow the lockdown regulations, while collaborating with the medical forces to disinfect all areas where COVID-19 patients live and visited.
In Thanh Ha District, where one COVID-19 case detected, 7 police checkpoints were set up, according to Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Khai, Deputy Head of the Thanh Ha District Police.
He also said that, the police force will strictly handle cases of trading medical supplies at extreme high prices or spreading false news about the pandemic in the community.
